Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur was established by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2010 at Raipur, the capital of the state of Chhattisgarh. The premier institution began operating out of its sprawling new campus in Atal Nagar, Raipur, in 2018. The new campus straddles over 200 acres, is a state-of-the-art infrastructure providing a mix of modern architecture, culture, and heritage of Chhattisgarh.
Today, IIM Raipur is ranked 11 as per the NIRF Ranking 2023 in the Management Category. Through its flagship programmes, the institution has managed to create a pool of future leaders with the ethos of inquiry and innovation, and commitment beyond business and industry to contribute to nation-building. IIM Raipur's commitment to excellence in research is evident from its doctoral programme, coupled with a supportive ecosystem meant to promote and strengthen research. IIM Raipur has strong international collaborations for student exchange programmes with reputed universities and institutes in 13 countries across the world comprising Australia, Chile, Germany, France, Greece, South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Austria, Peru, Russia, Slovakia, and Thailand.
IIM Raipur Online also offers consulting services to craft and execute policies, systems, and processes in operational and cross-functional disciplines of business. Besides, frequent in-campus and in-company training programmes are organized by IIM Raipur for supporting industry requirements.
According to the IIM Raipur Placement report for 2024, 116 companies recruited from IIM Raipur, with 302 applicants participating in the placement drives.
In addition to the regular MBA and PhD programmes, IIM Raipur offers Executive MBA programmes as well. The Executive MBA programmes are delivered online, with 2 campus immersions during the 2-year programme. The executive programme covers general business management topics followed by domain electives such as Marketing Management, Finance & Accounting, Operations & Quantitative Methods, Information Systems, HRM & OB, Humanities & Liberal Arts, Economics & Public Policy, and Strategic Management.
Additionally, IIM Raipur offers the EPGP - HRM, which blends various general management theories, soft skills, and analytical methods with real-world business scenario cases. It includes 1080 hours of content delivery (945 hours of teaching by IIM Raipur and 135 hours through Masterclass or Workshops by SHRM).
